Riddle.

Me: "Which is heavier? 1kg of steel or 1kg of cotton wool?"

Claudia: "Steel, of course!"

Me: "You sure?"

Claudia: "Of course!!! Who are you trying to trick? 1kg of steel and 1kg of cotton wool leh. Of course steel is heavier la."

Me: "WAHAHAHAHA! LolZ."

For your info, Marilyn had the same answer as Claudia. Duh!
Here's another one.

Me: "You're waiting for a train at the MRT station going towards Cityhall. You decided to board the 2nd oncoming train instead. On the station's LCD screen, it's written, 1st train - 3 mins. 2nd train - 7 mins. How many mins do you have to wait in total?

Marilyn: "10 mins la!"

Me: "Erm.. ok. *burst out laughing*"

Happy New Year.

It's finally the year of the Rat. Haha. i hope that the year ahead will be a better one for me. More projects and gigs pls! haha. The long weekend passed really quickly. All the weeks of spring cleaning and preparations just for the new year. Argh..
Din manage to really take pictures on the first day. In fact, i din take any pictures. As usual, i went to my grand parent's place. Oh yah. i went to St James that nite. Goodness, i couldn't get a damn cab home. Super duper long queue la and there's insufficient cabs around. Luckily, Leonard came back to sent me home.
Headed to a chinese restaurant (cant remember the name) for lunch at Novotel Hotel on the 2nd day. Food wasn't that great and it's rather pricey. Well, once a year only. We used to go to Neptune Court for dim sum but it's no longer around. Since then, we haven been able to find a permanent location for our CNY lunch.
Uncle Alan, Laigu, Grandma and Dad.

We usually have 2 tables. This is the "adults" table. i'm young kkz!
Daddy and Mummy.
My youngest sister, Fiona.

Cousin Ken, who enjoys laughing at Jiayu. My mahjong Kaki.

The forever-pretty-looking Auntie June.
Cousin Louis, a CNB officer i think? Not too sure though. But i know he's in CNB. No drugs for you peeps out there.
Cousin Adelene and her mum.
Cousin Corrine, who's getting married this 7th December. She's the first in my "generation" to get married.

Auntie Maureen. Forever so comical and spontaneous.
Beloved Grandma and her favourites. Haha.
Beloved Grandma.
Family, without my the other sister who's in Brisbane.
A group photo after lunch.

i always loved Chinese New Year. The gatherings, the buying and wearing of new clothes and of course the gamblings! Haha. New Year always provides me with the perfect excuse to indulge in lotsa of retail therapy. And of course, it mends the hole burnt in my pocket due to all the shopping. i got myself a tad too many new outfits this year, enough to last me for a week or so. Mum's complaining. i so wanna have a Poker Nite (dom! arrange that!) or a Club 21 Nite. Din really play cards this year though. But i played alot of mahjong. To me, mahjong is not really a "new year activity" coz i play it every week. i wanna Ban Luck! Any takers? Be careful, i've got my red undies and poker boxers to bring in all the much-needed luck. i'll fish your AH NAMS over. MOOLAHS MOOLAHS, come to me now. I'm your owner.

Tearful Monday.

My sister left for further studies today (not considering the fact it's after 12?), exactly the same day my cousin left for Australia a year ago. So coincidental yahz? Sister will be away for 4 years but we'll probably be visiting her next month when the younger sister is having her March holidays. Well, she was supposed to leave last nitez but she was not feeling too well. Luckily there's still vacancies for tonite's flight.

Din really get her any presents becoz she had whatever she needed and any unnecessary stuff would mean additional baggage weight. Btw her luggage is already overweight. SQ is so expensive. A whopping 195 bucks for 5kg of excess luggage. Goodness. Anyway, i got her some precious photos. At least she will get to see them when she's over there.

Was sucha tearful event at the airport. Parting is always hard, no matter what. On the brighter side, at least she's leaving for a good cause. My cousin mentioned something that struck a chord in me. She said my sister would be feeling ten times worst than any of us. We will miss her becoz she's the only one that's not ard, but when she's alone over in Brisbane, she will have so many of us to miss. Sigh.
I never like parting scenes becoz i know i wun be able to hold back my tears. Almost everyone was in tears. She's still young and she's a girl afterall. My parents and relatives will definitely be very worried about her. But at least technology is so advanced now, we can always get to see her on Skype or webcam.

Family photo.

Extended Family.

Cheryl - her TJC basketball pal.

Chung Cheng High (Main) teachers - her usual clique.

Carrying her bag and bidding her frens goodbye.

The walk towards the Departure Hall.
Hugging my mum. Yes, she's in tears. It's never easy to leave everything behind and start anew. i gave her a hug before she went in. If i'm not wrong, it's the first time i hug her, not mentioning when we were kids la.

To Sister Flora: If you ever read this, do take care of yourself yah? Be strong and study hard. Do us proud. But if it's really too hard on you, do not hesitate to come back. We will still welcome you back no matter what. I will miss the MobTV days where we watch missed episodes of Golden Path and Kinship II. I may not be the best brother around, throwing my temper and scolding you when i'm not in a good mood, but you know i dun really mean it. Hang on there, I'm very sure things will turn for the better soon. We'll be there soon kk? Chinese New Year will be so different without you. Dun worry, i'll help you collect all your Ang Baos. =) Miss ya lots.

Anyway, thanx Dominic for coming down to the airport to accompany me. i bet he wanted to eat la, thats why. Haha. Chit chat Bob O Hailing cute cute, i din wail like a baby k? Haha. But thanx for the efforts, i appreciate it. Oh ya, the last time i cried at the airport was 5 years ago when Jiayu left for Aust. Dominic, pls dun go too! I dunwan any of you all to leave.

Yes! This is how he looks like. Spastic looking, but always there to lend a listening ear. He's damn funny and nonsensical. He enjoys doing all the stupidantics. Wahaha. My sec 1 classmate. Goodness. Sucha long time. =P Oh ya, Happy Belated 22nd Birthday Donnie!
